Fire Station Alarm Bell

This antique Fire Alarm Bell was full of rust when I acquired it. I removed the rust through the Electrolysis process and then wire brushed it a bring out some shine. I attached to to an old piece of oak and added a copper chain and handle. The handle came from a piece of vine that had grown through the fence in my back yard. I cut a piece of the vine off...let it dry and then turned it on a small wood lathe. The bell clangs quite well!

35mm Film Reel Wine Rack

This old aluminum 35mm film reel was converted into a wine rack by splitting the reel in half and attaching it to an oak wooden base. I drilled square holes using a mortise hole machine to replicate the sprocket holes of a piece of film.

Sheaffer's Pens Art Deco Display Case

This 1930's metal display case started out as a rusty mess. I sand blasted most of the rust and removed the rest by a process called electrolysis. After the metal was cleaned, I painted the entire case with a textured paint. The glass front panel was hand painted, a new bottom wooden rack was made, and the lighting was rewired.

Bakery Bread Case

This 100 year old oak Bakery Bread case restoration started out with just the frame...no glass, racks or top. I handcrafted the back doors from old oak flooring and stained them to match the frames original finish. I found some old wavy glass for the front and sides as well.
